By the Jagielloński Square vis a vis the Sun Gallery in Radom two demontrative „green bus stops” have been installed as a part of innovative solutions of blue and green infrastructure realized in the range of LIFE project in Radom.
As part of the project implementation concerning the task D1 - 'Monitoring of climatic conditions and surface runoff in the area of implementation of investment activities', three weather devices (weather stations) were purchased and installed by the Co-beneficiary - Municipal Waterworks in Radom.
10 students from Radom primary and junior high schools were awarded in the 3rd edition of the competition organized annually on the Water Day on 22nd March as part of the LIFE14CCA / PL / 000101 project – ‘Adaptation to climate change through sustainable water management in the urban space of Radom’, co-financed by the LIFE Programme and National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw.
On May 25, 2018, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. the opening ceremony of the first "Climapond" was carried out as part of the LIFE14 CCA / PL / 000101 project - "Adaptation to climate change through sustainable water management in the urban space of the city of Radom", co-financed by the EU LIFE Financial Instrument and National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The pond was created in Kindergarten No. 16, at 3 Grenadierów Street in Radom.
On May 25, 2018, a celebration will be held from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. to present the first "Climapond" prepared within the LIFE14 CCA / PL / 000101 project "Adaptation to climate change through sustainable water management in the urban space of Radom" co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as well as the EU via LIFE funding. The garden pond will be opened at the Public Kindergarten No. 16 at 3 Grenadierów Street in Radom. The program of the ceremony includes greeting guests by the Director of Public Kindergarten No. 16, Ms. Mirosława Musiałek, the speech of the Mayor of Radom, presentation of "Climapond" by the Chairman of FPP Enviro Sp. z o.o. Lars Briggs, artistic performances of children from Kindergarten, reading aloud "Fairy tale about living water", exhibition and presentation of the art contest "Water - the essence of life", competitions and games for children.
The concert entitled "Concert with the climate ", performed by the Radom Chamber Orchestra, has been favourably received. The event, during which Radomians could hear the greatest classical music hits, aimed to promote the LIFE RADOMKLIMA project among Radom's seniors. The elderly residents of Radom were welcomed by the City Mayor – Mr Radosław Witkowski, who presented the details of implementation of the LIFE project in Radom and invited to watch a film showing the need to counteract the negative climate effects in our city.
